LIttle changes like moving the title can alter the mood of the cover as well. Putting Poetry on the finger defines the book. THis book is poems.
Where the cover where Said is on the finger is more open to intepretation.
Poetry books are hard sells to begin with, ambiguity is not your friend.
This cover says poetry, secrets and angst.
Just the mood that's wanted.
Love it! 'Poems' on the nose was throwing me before. I'd buy this book for the cover but I also know there has to be some damn good poetry in it with that line up!
