Crime Cover W/Female Well I wanted a crime cover this week and I found this one in the bottom of my flash drive. It's an early cover from when I first started. It isn't awful but I don't love it either.
What type of books would it work for?
Crime, suspense, maybe thriller. It's too strong for a stalking novel though. The woman is clearly comfortable with the gun. Maybe a female detective or a bodyguard?
The cover is a bit over processed. If I went back and did it again, I'd probably not light it so much. I'd also probably kill the lightening and put a different scene behind her. But hind sight is 20/20.
Too much going on but like I said, It isn't horrible. It's an okay cover. I think the woman, the gun---the dark background would attract attention.
If you can use it, it's yours. Do you need a woman with a gun? Come on, you know you do. :)
