Tunnel of Gold cover-Reject 1 Available

I'm trying something new with my rejected cover giveaways this year. Instead of posting them all at once and letting you guys go through them like pigs at a trough, I'm posting one at a time and talking about it a bit.

And I admit it, I like this cover. I like the play of light. I like the lone tree at the end.

I like that it's a bit mysterious but not scary.

But it wasn't right for the author.

What story would it work for? The cover has a bit of mystery and with a little tweaking could be a fantasy or murder/mystery cover. If I switched out the tree for something else, you could also do it as a coming of age or finding yourself book cover.

How do you get it for free for your book?
So this rejected cover is available to some writer out there. :) If you want it, you have to let me know by email so I can put your author name/title on it. My email is on my description on the right.

Restrictions: It has to be a project you are publishing (electronically or print) in the next 6 months. For print projects, please let me know so I can flatten the image for you so it prints pretty. :)

So is the tunnel cover right for you?
:)

Oh just FYI--all covers are provided in 300 DPI 6x9 size.

  2. I like your new approach, Tirz. You know, I think my glasses need changing. I wondered 'what tree at the end' but when I look again, I realized the doorway was NOT a someone in a white cassock. Yeah, I need help. :)

  4. I think it's pretty cool, and yeah, it has that great mystery to it with a tunnel leading to only God knows where. Nice! Thanks for stopping by the Sisterhood and best of luck on the Campaign trail!

  7. Hi,
I'm not working on a project, so I can't enter...butI wanted to tell you I like this cover too. I agree with another comment about the colors in the tunnel...green/gold. I like it. I like the tree outside the tunnel. It looks like it is winter out there. Like a white sky and no leaves on the tree. I see this as a cover for a YA Novel of someone out finding their own adventures. Maybe this tunnel is their secret place.

  8. I love the WHATEVERS in your blog header - so funny! Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! I'm a fellow campaigner in the Women's Fiction/Chicklit group. My first book is Women's Fiction - maybe, I don't know - I'm having extreme trouble figuring out just where it belongs! Why didn't I write my first book in an exact genre!
It's so great to meet you!

  9. Oh genres are fun---My current book is a dark comedy/sort of chick lit but not really/adventure novel.

    Sort of.

    :)

  10. I have so many of these covers sitting out there, unused. :) Check back in six months if you have a project for YA then, this tunnel cover may still be available. I have a snow one that's been floating around for 3 years.
